Professor Lukasz Szpruch is the lead academic on a £2m UKRI Prosperity Partnership project to develop novel methods to understand, measure, and ultimately insure against risk associated with the commercial application of artificial intelligence. Lukasz will work with colleagues from WMG University of Warwick and the University of Oxford, alongside insurance group AXA. The academic-industry partnership, ‘AI2: Assurance and Insurance for Artificial Intelligence’, will enable insurers to accurately price and underwrite AI-related risks in areas such as transport and healthcare.
