The next Edinburgh International Science Festival will include Maths: Connecting our World. Have you ever wondered how your google maps or satnav works so quickly and efficiently? During Thursday 6th to Monday 10th April, MIGSAA will invite the audience to discover basic mechanisms behind GPS, and how chord sounds are fashioned. Experiments will show you the way to create your own recordings, compress music and find where you are in a circle. Maths are at the centre of it all - you’ll be amazed! There will be brain-teasing activities for all ages. Come and visit us; we’re in Learning Centre Level 2, National Museum of Scotland. http://www.sciencefestival.co.uk/event-details/maths-connecting-our-world
