People Details
Lukas completed his undergraduate degree in mathematics at the University of Dundee after spending one year at the Universität Innsbruck in Austria. During his first year at MIGSAA he explored a range of different mathematical fields by completing a taster project and a variety of SMSTC courses.
Lukas’ main interest lies in mathematical biology and its applications to ecology. He is currently studying both an integro-PDE model and an integrodifference model describing banded vegetation patterns in semi-arid environments with nonlocal dispersal under the supervision of Prof Jonathan Sherratt.
