Research interest: Deterministic and probabilistic analysis of dispersive PDEs
Kelvin's main research interest lies in the analysis of (deterministic and stochastic) dispersive equations using tools from harmonic analysis and probability. For his first year MIGSAA extended project, he investigated the well-posedness of the energy-critical Schrödinger equation. Having enjoyed this style of anaylysis, Kelvin continues to work on low regularity problems for other dispersive equations.
Kelvin completed his MSci degree in mathematics at the University of Birmingham, with a focus on pure analysis and combinatorics. During his time in MIGSAA, Kelvin benefitted from the interactions between both Edinburgh and Heriot Watt universities. Outside of mathematics, Kelvin also loves cycling and playing board games.
