Albert completed a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics at the University of Barcelona and later did an MSc in Mathematics at the University of Bonn, where he focused in Harmonic Analysis. After completing his first year as a PhD Student in MIGSAA, where he took courses in Analysis and Probability and did research projects in the Mathematics of Energy Systems, he decided to continue his PhD in the area of Mathematics of Energy Systems, supervised by Dr. James Cruise and Dr. Chris Dent.

More specifically, he is interested in the role that energy storage could play in the decarbonisation of Energy Systems. In his free time, he enjoys sports in general and football in particular. While in Scotland, he is also keen on discovering its landscapes by bike or hiking.
