I graduated with an MMATH from Durham University. Throughout my time at Durham I kept my area of focus rather large and studied topics in Pure and applied mathematics as well as mathematical physics. For my final year project I studied measure theory and it’s applications, specifically its applications to the study of fractals. During this project I touched upon the theory of rectifiable sets, this particular area caught my interest more than anything I had studied so far and is something I may consider to pursue for my PhD, although I am open to any other opportunities that may arise. I’m excited to be exposed to and develop many new areas of analysis at MIGSAA, especially areas of numerical analysis, which is missing in my background. Outside of mathematics I enjoy playing the guitar, going to see live music and play pool on a regular basis.
