Research interests: Mathematical biology
Jamie completed his bachelor's degree in Mathematics at the University of Keele before going on to study a masters in Mathematical Sciences at Durham University. During his first year as a MIGSAA student he has been exposed to various areas of mathematics but has now decided to focus on their applications to biology. Specifically, he is interested in the spatial dynamics of cyclic populations and the development of theory that is valid for large amplitude cycles, which he is working on with the help of his supervisor, Professor Jonathan Sherratt. In his spare time he enjoys playing football and squash, as well as walking here in Scotland.
