Henry Louis was an undergraduate at Wesleyan University in the United States. As a Postgraduate student, he attended the University of Cambridge for Part III, where he studied analysis, number theory and combinatorics. His extended project was on Calderon Zygmund theory and data, with Dr. Branicki and Prof. Carbery, exploring some analogues of this classic theory in a discrete setting. His PhD thesis aims at pursuing work in this direction. It also aims at investigating issues related to diffusion distances and kernel bandwidth methods, which are used as dimension reduction techniques on a discrete set sampled from an unknown Riemannian submanifold, in order to recover the manifold.
