Research Interests: Multiphase flows in porous media, non-equilibrium thermodynamics and statistical mechanics.

One part of my research consists of an analytical and computational study on phase-field modeling and flow in porous media.  In close connection with the study of multiphase systems, I am examining the mathematical framework in the context of non-equilibrium thermodynamics and statistical mechanics of complex fluids and applications of the General Equations for Non-Equilibrium Reversible-Irreversible Coupling(GENERIC framework) . Finally, a small part of my investigations is focused on the applications of functional analysis in quantum mechanics.  I am under the supervision of Ben Goddard and Dugald Duncan.
