The two Jack Carr interns, Emma Nel (Stellenbosch University, South Africa) and Filone Longmou (AIMS Rwanda), are visiting the Maxwell Institute in May. Emma is hosted by Geoff Vasil and Matteo Capoferri. Filone is hosted by Hiro Oh and Oana Pocovnicu.

Alexandre Martin awarded EPSRC Standard Grant

Prof. Lorenzo Pareschi, Chair of Applied Mathematics at Heriot-Watt University, received an Advanced Grant from the Italian Science Fund (FIS) in value of 2 million euros to study and better understand and predict complex phenomena such as epidemics, traffic, the economy and even how opinions spread on social media.
