Mathematics Showdown 2023
As part of the Edinburgh Science Festival in May, five MAC-MIGS PhD students presented engaging short talks to the public at a “Mathematics Showdown” comedy evening in the Bayes Centre. Professor Minhyong Kim has been appointed as Director of the ICMS and Sir Edmund Whittaker Professor of Mathematical Sciences at both Heriot-Watt University and the University of Edinburgh, with effect from September 2021.
