Research interests: Mathematical biology and numerical analysis
Nora joins MIGSAA after accumulating years of experience in the software industry. After completing her undergraduate degree in Mathematics at Imperial College London, Nora took a position with a company focused on communication software; she proceeded to work on a number of exciting projects involving file systems. She returned to study MSc Applied Mathematical Sciences with Biological and Ecological Modelling at Heriot-Watt University. Nora's current research focuses on modelling disease in wildlife populations. The MIGSAA programme particularly appeals to Nora because of the connections with industry. Other than studying maths and raising her children, Nora enjoys playing tennis.
